Kostas Christodoulou (1878 – 1972) was an important personality, not only in the field of commerce, but also in the social and political spheres. He was a Member of the National Council, a Municipal Councellor, a Member of the Ecclesiastical Committee of the Faneromeni Church for forty years and a member of the School Committee of Nicosia

He was also one of the founders of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1927. In these capacities he contributed greatly to the public affairs of Cyprus and of Nicosia, particularly in the fields of education, culture and charity. He also personally donated to these causes.

His contribution to the creation of the Faneromeni Library was of fundamental importance. The new cemetery church of Saints Constantine and Helena was built thanks to his generosity. The community of Kakopetria proclaimed Kostas Christodoulou a benefactor on account of his contribution to the village, where, among other things, he built the dormitories for campers from the Sunday Schools of Nicosia located near the Monastery of Saint Nicholas of the Roof.
